Duration of Adoption

The adoption of an olive oil tree is valid for up to one year only, and adoption for that year ends at the end of the month of February of every year regardless of the starting time of the adoption. The adoption is of the tree's fruit production cycle, and fruits on the tree from the last season belongs to the last season's adopter. If for any reason (such as serve weather) we cannot harvest before the end of adopted period, the fruits will belong to the adopters of the last season until harvest, even if your tree become adopted again by another olive oil lover on March 1st. We will harvest when the fruits ripen enough and ship you olive oil.

Deliverable

We will send a confirmation email upon a receipt of the order, and possibly another email upon a completion of the payment transaction if the transaction takes time. After we receive your successful order of adoption, we will ship you a certificate.

After harvest, we will ship your extra virgin olive oil of your ordered quantity to the address you specified in the order. The olive oil is from the same grove that the tree picked to adopt.

Delivery Schedule

We will send you emails time to time to update the development of the trees and you. If you ordered an adoption for a friend, we will send the email to you and the friend. When the harvest starts, we will send you the pre-delivery email, so that you can double-check your delivery address.

The expected time of delivery of olive oil is February to early March, depending on the weather. However, it is possible to have the delivery to be delayed to late March do to climate conditions and shipping processes. If the delivery is expected to delay beyond March, we will send you a notice email. For all other shop orders, packages are sent out within 3 business days. We will use USPS for the shipment within the US. We are not responsible for failed delivery due to factors beyond our control such as delivery address mistake, unavailability of receiver, serve weather or other disaster, labor dispute, and or any conditions imposed on and throughout the shipping process including the US Custom that prevent shippers from delivering the product in timely manner.

Cancellation

You can cancel your order until October 31. From November 1, there is no refund. To cancel, please email us at support@myoliveoiltree.com with subject "cancel request", and please include your name,shipping address, your email address, phone number, and the order number. We cannot process the request if any of the information is missing. 

Return Policy

If the olive oil containers you received are damaged during the shipment, or quality/taste of olive oil is irregular, you may return olive oil, in the same state in which you received it, for a replacement. Your return-shipment cost, original delivery and handling charges are non-refundable. We will send you the replacement. To return olive oil for replacement, within 10 days of the delivery date please email us at support@myoliveoiltree.com with subject "return number request", and please include your name, shipping address, your email address, phone number, and the order number. We will send you the return instruction.

Return to Sender

If the shipment cannot reach you for any reason and returned to us, we will try to contact you via email at the address you provide, and repeat the emailing you total of 3 times within one week. If we do not hear from you within 30 calendar days from the day we sent first return-to-sender email, under this terms you and we agree that we can determine on our sole discretion your order has been abandoned, and we will not keep your oil and stop trying to contact you again. There is no refund.

If Nature Throws a Curve Ball

Time to time we get strangest conditions; draught, too much rain, brush fire, and who knows what the nature throws us. When the nature gives us a hard time that we cannot produce enough to meet our guaranteed amount, we reserve rights to give you option of cancel the order or allow us to substitute the delivery with the reserve oils from a grove/farm other than the one your tree resides. If our other farms within MyOliveOilTree are not affected, we will be the alternative sources. If our other farms are affected as well, we source to our contingency partner farms, which produce olive oils with quality as good as ours. If you opt to cancel the order under such circumstance, you will be refunded promptly.

No Resell

You may not resell, rent or transfer the adoption rights or the right to receive olive oil. You may not resell the olive oil you received for commercial purposes.
